School is officially back in session and this mama is feeling thankful to be getting in the groove of morning and afternoon routines again. But back to school also means back to sports, homework, running around in a rush to get it all done. It’s busy, it’s hard and it’s real life, but the good news is…we’re all in this together and I’ve got a few tips on how I survive this season.

First things first…coffee. I don’t even try to do anything else until I’ve had my morning cup. From there, the rest of my day is pretty much on the go. Gym. Taking kids to school. Errands. Picking kids up. Dropping them off at practice. Picking them up again. You get the drill. It’s important to keep your car stocked with items that aid you and your kiddos in all of this running around.

Phone charger, always carry a phone charger. Too many times I’ve been out and about and my phone has died. Carry a water bottle with you (or a jug of water…Ha!) It’s important to stay hydrated, especially in this crazy heat. Antibacterial wipes or baby wipes, they’re no longer babies, but I’m insistent on them “washing” their hands as soon as they get in the car. Anything to try and keep those germs at bay. That goes for me too, have you ever thought about what might be growing on a grocery cart handle? Don’t.

Another huge win is snacks. All the snacks. If you’re anything like me, being busy means you often forget to EAT and chances are your kiddos are hungry too. I always keep a bag of snacks with items like crackers, trail mix, and other goodies in the car.

Lately, we’ve been loving Lorissa’s Kitchen meat snacks because they’re delicious, but are also a good source of protein. I throw them into the kids’ backpacks for a quick snack to have during school and before practice + I keep them in my car for myself to have throughout the day and as an after school snack for Lily and Luke. Our favorites are their Korean Barbeque and Szechuan Peppercorn steak strips which are made with 100% grass-fed beef. The best part is the beef sticks are keto friendly + sold at most of the amazing places you frequent (Target, Walgreens, Kroger, Publix, convenience stores, etc.) AMAZING. You can also get them in bulk on Amazon.com so you never run out! Snag 20% off right now by using “20OFFLK”. Click here to shop!

Follow those fun tips and YOU will thank YOU and your kids will too! What are some tricks that help you survive the rush of school life? Leave them in the comments below.

I always keep a pencil and manual sharpener in the car for those times when we are in the car for longer than expected and the kids can snag the opportunity to chip away at their homework.

Sugar is the second ingredient so I wouldn’t eat if following Keto diet.
