Lanterns found here. I used a mixture of medium and large.

‘Tis the season to start thinking about the holidays.Ā  This week on the blog is going to be all about Thanksgiving.Ā  I am going to be sharing some new Thanksgiving recipes with you all the rest of this week, but I wanted to kick the week off with my Thanksgiving tablescape.Ā  We are actually doing something a little bit different for Thanksgiving this year.Ā  Some of our dearest friends have recently moved back in town and we are hosting them for Thanksgiving this year.Ā  Since we have a bigger group, we are actually going to be dining in the pool house this year.Ā  This lead me to create a little bit of a simpler, less formal table than I did last year.

Speaking of simple, this table literally took me 10 minutes to pull together.Ā  This time of year is about focusing on family and I didn’t want to have to spend a million hours pulling a table together.Ā  I always like to go horizontal with my tablescapes rather than a large vertical arrangement.Ā  That allows conversation to flow better and people aren’t having to bob and weave behind a flower arrangement to try and see each other.

My love for cream really knows no bounds, so of course I went with cream pumpkins on a cream table runner.Ā  If you want to glam up your pumpkins a tad, you could paint the stems rose gold to give them a little pop.Ā  I wanted to bring in a little bit of shimmer to the table, so I boughtĀ this cream table runner that has a metallic silver thread running through it. SO pretty.Ā I then added the pretty metallic lanterns and tea lights to help create a little shine to the table.

Even though I typically do not do floral arrangements in my centerpieces, I do like to incorporate greenery and nature into my tables.Ā  I found these really pretty white flowers still on the stick and I loved how they dressed up the table some.Ā  I am a sucker for eucalyptus.Ā  I used silver dollar eucalyptus on the table and not only does it smell so good, it is also super inexpensive. Another bonus, this table can be set in advance, because eucalyptus takes a little while to dry and when it does…it’s perfect.

Since I was going more casual with this years table, I left the fine china in the dining room and grabbed these textured stoneware plates.Ā  I love the texture that they bring to the table.Ā  I topped them with really simple ivory napkins that I tied a wishbone to with twine.Ā  I wanted to mix metals in this tablescape, so I picked up this really pretty rose gold twig flatware at World Market and I am obsessed. (side note World Market is having a KILLER sale on all furniture, 40% off until the 26th)Ā It fits in well with the natural elements in my tablescape and it really pops against the grey wash farm table.

I will leave you with some more detail shots of my Thanksgiving tables.Ā  If decorating your table for the holidays is your jam, then make sure to check back here on Thursday.Ā  I have a really fun collaboration with World Market coming for their blog and I think it is going to be a table that you definitely want to check out!Ā  Head to the end of the post to see all of the things I used on this table.

I’ve this, so beautiful, and not busy. What size lanterns did you use? The middle appears to be bigger but I couldn’t decide. Thanks for sharing and fit the inspiration. Happy Turkey day to you & your crew!

Such a beautiful table! How did you get your punkins so white? I bought the same ones but mine have a hint of yellow in them, more creamy. Or is there a filter on your photos? I have heard people can do something to do to help them last longer and make them a bit more white!!!

Man, I love all this!! Wish you could plan my wedding ahah

I ordered the table runner from West Elm because in your description you said it had "gold threads running through it." Just received mine today and it is not gold threads, but silver threads. Called and talked to West Elm assuming they had sent me the wrong one, but no, it was not their mistake. Silver and cream is the only one they sell. šŸ™

Teresa! I’m so sorry. I guess I’m use to typing gold and always using gold. Funny enough I remember being at west elm thinking…I wishing they had gold, but when I put it next to the lanterns it didn’t bother me. I like mixing metals. I do apologize for steering you wrong and misleading you. My mistake. I went ahead a fixed my typo. Do you think you’ll keep it? I’m loving it all together. Thanks for your message. Xx Landyn
