Do you remember my Mamuye Tote and my Abera Crossbody Tote that I am always carrying and telling you about? If you don’t, they are the best totes ever and they are made by a local Nashville company called Fashionable. Fashionable is an apparel company with a serious social mission to end generational poverty through creating job opportunities for women both in developing nations and right here in Nashville. If you are a socially conscious consumer then you definitely will want to check them out. Really, even if you aren’t as interested in the social mission you should still totally check them out because they sell amazing bags and accessories. Here is the best news, the have just recently expanded their product offerings to include clothing and shoes. YES! They have the absolute best basics-think awesome tee’s and my new favorite tank top– and really well-made and comfortable shoes.
The clothes are totally my vibe, since you know I love a good basic to build an outfit around, so when they sent me some of their new items I had to give them a spin around town. These pieces make the perfect mix and match pieces for a casual weekend vibe. I hit up some of my favorite spots in one of my favorite neighborhoods, 12 South. I went to all the can’t miss places- Proper Bagel, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Franklin Juice Co., and Amelia’s Flower Truck.

All of Fashionable’s shoes and apparel are made in Peru by women for women. Fashionable knows that employing women both here and abroad is a key to building a strong sustainable economy They are made of Pima Cotton so they are super soft and well made. I absolutely love their basic white tee in this v-neck style. And let’s just talk about these shoes for a minute. I posted them in a picture on Instagram yesterday and I have already gotten a ton of questions about them. First of all, ALL of their shoes are handmade. WHAT! I can not believe that you can get handmade loafers for under $150! In fact, all of their shoes are less than $150 and many are less than $100. These loafers are so insanely comfortable and I love this nude color for spring and summer. They also come in a black which would be a perfect basic for year round use.
On a completely unrelated side note, if you every find yourself in Franklin Juice Co. you HAVE to try one of their Acai bowls. They are so, so good! I am eating the Pitaya Bowl and I LOVED it…not to mention it’s super good for you too!

Next stop on my 12 South train was Amelia’s Flower Truck. If you EVER see Amelia’s Flower Truck around town you better stop what you are doing and go! It is the most adorable converted vintage VW that sells the most gorgeous fresh blooms. Mattie, the owner of Amelia’s, travels throughout the city so be sure to check her calendar to see where she is going to be. Here is the cool thing, you can also book the truck for event or weddings and they have a cool bouquet subscription service that you can buy. And why am I smiling so big in these pictures you ask? It’s because you know that I LOVE a good muscle tank and this one is the BOMB! It is so soft and well made, you guys seriously need this!
No Saturday stop is complete in the Hutchinson family without a visit to Proper Bagel. Steve LOVES this place and I have to agree with him. First let’s talk about how the decor screams Living with Landyn. I mean all the black and white, the subway tile, the penny rounds. It had my heart the second I walked through the door. Second, let’s talk about these shoes. I am OBSESSED! Slides are so, so popular this year and these are the perfect shoe. I love the two toned metallic (they do come in two other colors) look and they would be perfect for the beach. Third, let’s pause for a minute to pay our respects to the most delicious Lavender Honey Iced Latte and the most perfect avocado toast with egg that there EVER was. If you are local, get in your car right now, drive to Proper Bagel, order this meal and then thank me later. It is that good.
Thank you to Fashionable for sponsoring this post and thank you to all of you that support the brands that help make Living with Landyn possible. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
