It’s that time of year again already. Time for the annual stress-induced nervous breakdown over what everyone is going to wear for the family holiday photo. I don’t know about you guys, but it is enough to get me rocking back and forth in the fetal position. But guess what girls, this year the gnashing of teeth will not be necessary, because I am going to show you how to style two separate looks for your entire family. I am so excited to share both of these looks with you….and I will let you in on a little secret….one of these looks will actually be what my family is wearing this year.
So who is ready to go shopping with me? I filmed exactly how I styled these two looks in some video segments below, so you can see what I was thinking when I was pulling the looks together
HOLIDAY PHOTO LOOK #1
If you like a more traditional, holiday look for your Christmas card them this is definitely the look for you. I am absolutely loving the mix of dressy and casual. This skirt is so comfortable and flattering and I love the unexpected combination of a dressy skirt and embellished belt with a flannel shirt…and you guys know I LOVE me some Rails flannel shirts.

HOLIDAY PHOTO LOOK #2
This next look really speaks to my personal style. I love the high contrast color palette and the different patterns. So many people are afraid to mix patterns, but I think this look proves that you can totally pull it off as long as you follow a couple of rules. Keep the patterns in the same color family. In this particular look, everything falls in the black, white, gray and cream color family, but we are able to keep it interesting by using a reverse of the mom’s color pattern on the little girl. Mix the scales of your pattern. You can vary the size of your patterns by doing a small plaid with a larger looser plaid or a window pane plaid like in the little girls look. The key is don’t be afraid and rock what every look you choose with confidence.

LOVE MINTED
I also have a special surprise for you guys to go along with all of our talk about holiday cards. I am working with Minted this year on my holiday cards and Minted is giving away $100 gift cards to 3 lucky readers for their holiday cards this year. All you have to do is head here to enter. I have rounded up my ten favorite cards that they are offering this year. Literally, one of these choices will be showing up in my friend’s and family’s mailboxes next month. I CAN NOT WAIT to share my choice with you guys. Eeeeeeek!
I also wanted to let you know that they have a coupe of different sales going on right now that you just might want to take advantage of. Their foil cards are currently 20% off. They also have an offer for 15% off orders of $150+ and 10% off orders of $100+.
Amazing ideas! Thank you for all of the effort, innovation and hard work that went into this post! It’s appreciated!
