You guys know that one of my biggest pieces of fashion advice I give is that every occasion, season change, or event doesn’t require a brand new outfit. The same goes for New Year’s Eve. How many of us have a little black dress in our closet? It is really a staple of every women’s closet. All you need is to freshen it up with a new accessory that will create a whole new look. That’s right, shoes. Even if you ate waaaay too many gingerbread cookies, they’ll still fit and look good.

NOW IN MY CLOSET
Embellished Ankle Strap Sandals
Mama needed a brand new pair of shoes to complete my New Year’s Eve look; so I decided to share with you guys my four favorite pairs that I found while shopping at Nordstrom. Any four of these would be a fabulous addition to your closet, not just for New Year’s Eve, but for any occasion that requires a dressier shoe. Best part is that 3 of the 4 of them are under $100! I love shopping for shoes at Nordstrom because they always have the best selection of everything from budget friendly options to designer shoes. I’m a size 10, so most of the time they’re in stock, but the great thing about Nordstrom is that if they don’t have what I am looking for in store or don’t have my size, it is so easy to find what I am looking for online. With free shipping and free returns, I am never afraid to order a few pairs and try them out at home.
I think everyone thinks of sequins and sparkles for New Year’s Eve, but I love the thought of a really understated, sophisticated look that really let’s your accessories shine. There’s nothing better than slipping into a sexier shoe to really make you feel good and get you out on that dance floor. Rose gold and metallics are so popular this year and I love the little bit of sparkle that this three strap sandal provides. I also really like that this shoe zips up the back so you feel really secure while livin’ your best life!
DANCIN’ SHOES
This pair caught my eye because they are a really great knock-off of the Christian Louboutin shoe that features the PVC strap, but for less than $60! WHAT, WHAT?!? And can we talk about how sexy the illusion of a disappearing strap is on this shoe.
Last, but certainly not least, is this gorgeous embellished three strap sandal. This is actually a variation of one of my favorite shoes, the Stecy by Steve Madden, that I wear all the time. Again, the rose gold color is making an appearance. I don’t wear a lot of rose gold jewelry, so I love the thought of wearing a rose gold shoe as a way to participate in the trend in a way that fits into my personal style. It is all about making a trend work for you, not the other way around. I also love the jeweled embellishment on the straps, to add that extra sparkle to the shoe. Definitely a festive shoe, perfect for New Year’s Eve.
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. Thank you to all of you who support the brands that help make Living with Landyn possible.
Hi Landyn!
Where did you get the black chiffon skirt in your New Years pics?
Thanks!
