Hi girls!  I am back on the blog after taking the week off last week for post-Living with Landyn Live show recovery.  If you didn’t see my Insta-stories announcement (read:crying breakdown) I am going to be pretty light posting here over the next few weeks.  The show was so amazing and I had to the best time, but it was a lot of work and a took a lot out of me.  I am so excited because I have the opportunity to expand the Living with Landyn team and I just signed a lease on my very first office space, but I need these next few weeks to get everything organized and set up.  Don’t worry though, I will be back and better than ever just in time to share all of the holiday ideas that you will need.

So I am sure a lot of you are thinking what does all that have to do with fall beauty?  Um…nothing, but the good news is that I am here today to share a few ways that I am updating my fall beauty routine.  I actually stopped by Nordstrom last week when they were having their beauty sale and picked up a couple of new items to freshen up my fall beauty routine.  Bobbi Brown is my favorite, go-to beauty brand and I was so excited to see that almost all of the products I bought were marked down 15%.  I love Nordstrom’s beauty sales because these items and brands rarely go on sale, so I love to stock up when they do.  The good news, is that I checked the site last night and they were all still on sale, so hurry before they go back up to regular price.

I actually tried my hand at a little make-up video for the first time.  I hesitate calling it a tutorial, because that might be overselling it a bit, but I thought it might be fun to let you guys hear me talk about the products I picked up and how I use them.  I am actually wanting to incorporate some more video into the site, so I would love your feedback.  Leave a comment below and let me know what you think and if there are any other things you would like to see videos of.

SOME OF MY MAKE-UP TIPS

I am not sure if my video gave it away, but I am NOT a beauty blogger; however, I have picked up a few tricks of the trade that I want to share with you guys:

1. Cobalt blue eyeliner makes the whites of your eyes POP. I know, you are probably having flashbacks to your high school days right now, but trust me on this one.  The color doesn’t even read blue on your eyes and it really does make a huge difference.
2. This tip I learned from Melissa last weekend at the Living with Landyn Live show.  She said that if you want a shimmer eye shadow to stay in place all night, then make sure that you lightly dampen your eye shadow brush before you apply it.  It is like super glue for the shimmer and it keeps it from flaking all over your face.
3. Always start with your lightest eye shadow first and apply that to the entire eye.  If your base color is slightly darker than your normal shade, like mine was in this palette, make sure that you keep the brush moving the entire time and do not push too hard.
