Do you know a senior in highschool that is graduating this year and you aren’t quite sure what to get them? Well, one of my love languages is GIFT BASKETS – seriously, if I could have an operation where I just make gift backs all day I would do it in a heart beat. One of my favorite things about gift baskets is creating a central theme. Graduating from highschool and heading off to college is one of the most exciting times in life. You’re on your own for the first time and you are navigating so many new things – like how to manage and take care of your laundry or the first time you’re sick and not with your parents. I wanted to curate gift baskets for some of the milestones that our kids will have. I’m sharing my ideas below and hopefully this helps you when picking up a gift for that senior in your life.
LAUNDRY GIFT BASKET
To start with your base, use a laundry hamper like this. From here you’re going to want to add all of your favorite laundry essentials. Think dryer balls, your favorite detergent and maybe even a spot cleaner for those extra tough stains. In the hamper or basket, feel free to include a laundry bag to make hauling laundry to and from the laundry mat easier. Another great addition would be this steamer (under $20 and who is really taking an iron / ironing board to college).
BATHROOM GIFT BASKET
For this base, a shower caddy would be PERFECT. Think of all the trips to and from the bathroom, you’re going to want to make sure it has great reviews and holds up well. Now you can start filling the caddy with all the bathroom essentials – Your favorite body wash, tooth brush cover, shower shoes, loofa/shower brush, if it’s for a girl feel free to include a towel head wrap or if it’s for a boy include a shaving kit.
FIRST AID GIFT BASKET
I thought a first aid kit would be the perfect gift for a graduating senior, because who doesn’t remember the first time being sick away from their parents. How great are these first aid boxes or this one?? Start with one of these and then fill it with the classics.. Bonus points for labeling each type of medicine (example: For When You Have a.. Headache. Stomach Ache. Period. etc.) Also throw in bandaids + boo boo essentials.
