When the gals and I decided to take the kids camping last weekend, I knew I wanted to add a few special elements to our whole camping experience. (You can read about everything we did here.) OF COURSE s’mores is an essential part to any camping trip. I mean really though, who doesn’t like s’mores?
I got the idea to make individual s’more kits for everyone! That way no one was fighting over extra gram crackers or extra chocolate ;), but don’t worry I did pack few extras just in case! Below is a list of items that I used to bright these kits to life.
THE STORAGE – I ordered a pack of these boxes to store all the goods in. They ended up being the perfect size and I added a handful of crinkle paper to the bottom of each. I love how they had a clear top so you could see everything inside.
THE GOODS – THE most important part of this kit was of course the marshmallows, Hershey’s bar and graham crackers. I bagged the marshmallows in a cellophane bag, used two individual Hershey’s chocolate bars and kept the graham crackers in their individual boxes. Everything fit perfectly.
THE PRETTY – If you know me, you know I had to wrap it up all pretty! I got these gift tags and wrote all the kids names on each of them and then tied them to the box with a faux sprig of greenery! I event made miniature sticks with marshmallows using toothpicks and miniature marshmallows – I thought it was the perfect little touch.
These boxes were passed out with my family’s favorite roasting sticks from Amazon – we love these things! All in all these kits were a major hit.
