Spring has officially sprung!! Last week was the 6th Annual FAMILY MULCH DAY and our family laid 300 bags and planted over 100 flowers. The yard is looking pretty darn good! A lot of folks had questions about what we planted, so here’s a rundown of the everything I used for both our pots around the patio + pool, plus the smaller flowers around our mailbox out front. You’ll be SHOCKED to see that they are all white. You can’t go wrong!! Also–don’t worry, I am going to bug Steve and his Dad about the garden beds and all things vegetables + herbs for a future post.

My planters were from Target line called Project 62 and are sold out. Sorry! I found some similar styles that are GREAT!
That is a beautiful home! Dreamy❤️
Where did you get your patio furniture??? Love it all! Are the chaise loungers the same brand as wicker seating? Thanks!

Hi! Love all your gardening and planting posts. We pay for someone to mulch bc we have a 7 year old and a 2.5 year old and they are not much help. We’re getting close to that family mulch day though!
Question for you. Do you plant your mandevila every year or do you bring your pots in when it gets cold? I’m just outside Memphis so we get comparable weather to you!
hey there!
I tried it one year and didn’t have much luck. Unfortunately I replant each year. I tend to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s they usually have some sort of tropical elephant ear plant in the center with some Mandevilla around the outside. It’s super simple- I just pop it out of that pot and into my containers around the pool! It’s hardy, drought tolerant and likes the heat + plus it has a pretty white flower, which is a plus! You certainly could give it a try, you may have better luck than I did!
