A few weeks ago, I sat down and opened several packages from YOU and your small businesses. (You can see the highlight here) It meant the world to me that you took time out of your day to send your product out for me to see. I put up a question sticker and had each of you nominate some of your favorite small businesses – and let me tell you, there were HUNDREDS of responses. I think this year, more than ever, it’s important to support our small businesses – we’ve all been through so much together. (Also, here is a link to my SHOP SMALL Nashville Guide!)

  1. ANYA + NIKI – I LOVED seeing you guys nominate Anya + Niki because they have been dear to my heart for a while now ! –  Niki has worked in retail and fashion for over 25 years. She travels the world, inspects the details, and studies the now-new-next in trends, all with the aim of bringing beautiful and useful products to life. Curious by nature, Niki understands how people live. Her inspiration comes from everything and everywhere.  Niki’s assembled one of the best teams around. After extensive study of the global retail landscape, consumer behaviors, and lifestyle choices, we identified a white space, Luxe Sport.
  2. BOSTON FLOWER CO – WOW. When looking through your nominations – I stumbled up Boston Flower Co and she creates the most beautiful timeless pieces. This would make the perfect wedding gift.-  Hi, I’m Penny Boston   – Hello and thanks so much for stopping by. My mission is to create art using nature’s pallet. Each floral item is hand constructed by me in my Airstream Studio in Southern California
  3. FLYING G JERKY – How could I stay away from adding 0g carb/sugar jerky to the list. I saw several nominations for Flying G Jerky and let’s just say I think I might just have to order Steve and I some ASAP. – At Flying G Jerky, we have a firm belief that jerky should be meat and spices.  That’s it! No sugar, no preservatives, no fillers.  This deep-rooted belief comes from years of farming, raising cattle and having a family owned steakhouse. We are a military veteran couple raising two daughters.  We have a heart for the Lord and giving back what we have been blessed with.  We pray that through the success of our company, we will be able to help those that need it most.
  4. STELLA + HAAS – I am OBSESSED with this initial wrap ring I found through one of your nominations – what cool and personal gift (plus I think they look pretty BA) – Based in Utah, Stella & Haas was born in October 2019 with the mission to offer dope accessories for all. As a Black, Female-owned business, Stella&Haas is a place of inclusivity and representation for all. Here you will find beautiful, affordable pieces to help you feel fresh and powerful.
  5. CURATED BY CASTLES – Now you guys saw me unbox this last week – WOW is all I can say, what a genius idea, right?! –We are a lifestyle + design company featuring interior design + event services in addition to a curated collection of furniture + decor to elevate your overall style. we tailor every design to each specific client but leave our curated stamp on everything we touch.
  6. C.C. BOONE – Are you heading down to the 30A area and in need of a grazing board or curated party? Caroline is YOUR girl. She recently helped me with a girls trip and everything she did was PERFECT. 10/10  — i truly believe there is never a reason too small to host a party. life is short + should be celebrated with every breath. while i’m here, i want to eat well + love big, Caroline
  7. THE ZEN SUCCULENT – This is for all you PLANT lovers out there, I loved reading about the Zen Succulent (a mother daughter duo) AND they ship plants right to you – THAT’S RIGHT. – We are a modern terrarium and plant craft business based in beautiful Durham, North Carolina. The ZEN Succulent was created by the mother/daughter team Margaret and Megan George.
  8. NATTY MICHELLE PAPERIE – I love the idea of a personalized gift. It’s so unique and also show the care and thought that went into choosing the gift. I an so glad you guys nominated Natty Michelle Paper – she curates the cutest custom maps and drawing of homes. — Natalie is based in Athens, GA and started putting her pen to paper about 10 years ago creating hand drawn maps. She continued to paint maps for friends and family, then brides and clients – now she creates maps for people all around the world!
  9. KATELIN SIMONS DESIGN – I am head over heels for these candle holders – I don’t think anyone is blowing out candles on a cake anytime soon. I love the beauty of these and the simplicity.
  10. PRETTY PLEASE TEETHERS – This is for all you new mamas out there or mama’s with little. Who knew a teething ring could be so pretty? But hey, it is 2020 so things have changed since I’ve had my babies. – Our story is simple. It started with one mission in mind: to find safe, stylish, natural handmade items for my little one– something that fit my modern and minimalist style but was functional. It felt like it should be simple but was, surprisingly, harder than expected. Being pregnant with my youngest and on bed rest with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG, or severe morning sickness), I had a lot of spare time on my hands; and since I couldn’t find what I wanted elsewhere, I decided to make my own. Since then, Pretty Please Teethers has been designing and hand-making products that babies will enjoy and we, the moms, will love.
