WHAT YOU NEED
- 2 cups margarine (*must be margarine)
- 6 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 4 cups flour
ICING
- 1 16 ounce box powdered sugar
- 4-6 tablespoons of hot water
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Food coloring
WHAT TO DO
- Cream margarine, sugar and salt together.
- Add vanilla then stir in flour.
- Roll dough into marble size balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Make thumbprint in dough, that’s where the icing will be.
- Bake cookies at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
For Icing:
- Mix all ingredients together with a fork until smooth and free of lumps.
- Once cookies are cool, fill each thumb print with icing. Use sprinkles if desired.
