Hey. guys!
I am trying my hardest not to completely fan-girl right now!
Today’s episode is definitely going to go down as one of my all-time favorites! Today, I am bringing you my conversation with Lori McKenna. Yes! THE Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, Lori McKenna.
Lori has written songs for country music’s top artists including Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Little Big Town – just to name a few! AND, she is the brains and talent behind our podcast theme song- All The Things. I am just fascinated by her talent and her craft.
Lori is equal parts legendary and down-to-earth, and her story will absolutely blow you away! From selling tupperware to pay the bills, to her first open mic night in Boston, to becoming a legendary songwriter – Lori’s story will leave you inspired to chase your dreams and encouraged to take chances.
Lori and I also open up about motherhood and the struggles of ‘letting go’ as your children get older; how to be present in the moment; ways to strike work/life balance; the value of friendships and finding your tribe; and, the importance of putting your family first! You name it- we probably covered it.
One of my favorite parts of this interview was learning the story behind the Tim McGraw hit, Humble and Kind. It may just be the heart-warming story your heart didn’t know it needed today.
Lori is seriously so fascinating, so genuine, and truly a musical genius. You guys don’t want to miss this one-of-a-kind episode!
Until next time. Love you, mean it.
Xx,
Landyn
