Alright friends, it’s that time of year again. It’s Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale, aka THE BIGGEST sale of the year and the time is now to score all those fabulous new fall styles, not to mention great beauty buys, home decor and even stuff for the kiddos and hubby! It honestly is all the things you’ll be craving once those leaves start to turn and the weather dips down. So, why not be ready when it does? If you’re not familiar with this yearly event and wondering why everyone and their mother is A.) talking about it and B.) going crazy over it. Well, because when the sale ends, Sunday, August 4th EVERYTHING with that yellow color blocking over the tag will either be G O N E [and that’s not a joke] or back to full price. So, my advice is if you think you love it, buy it!  Don’t know what size, buy both and return the other. Otherwise you may just experience a bad case of FOMO when the item is no longer available and you see that cute girl sporting it around town later on. Trust me, I know. That’s why I shop it early and do my best to snag what I like then evaluate. Also, I rarely go in-store during the sale [hello Crazy Town USA] because Nordstrom offers curbside pick up, which is a game changer, along with some great shipping options. Order in your jammies and drive up next time you run your errands. Genius.

Now, what’s Early Access? How does one get that? It’s the opportunity to shop The One-Of-A-Kind Anniversary Sale a full week before everyone else, and the card’s the key to shopping early. This year it started July 12th and let me just tell you, things seem to sell out quicker and quicker every year. Kinda a bummer for those waiting. Trust me, it wasn’t until last year that I became a cardholder. And it’s the only way to enjoy the perks of shopping early. I’m not telling you to get a Nordstrom card, you do you sis. I’m just helping with styling advice and giving my honest picks. You know, like a true girlfriend would.

So, let’s get to it, shall we. You heard me tell you on stories the other night that I wasn’t going to go crazy this year, but that I would share What I Bought along with 15 items from every category. I did them gift guide style and you can check them out here Athletic Wear, Under $100, Under $50, Jewelry, Home, Beauty, Intimates & Lounge, Jackets & Blazers, Boots, Bags & Accessories, Men’s, Kids and What Not To Buy. Ha! You asked for that one! If I wouldn’t wear it, it’s not on there and that’s the truth. You’ll be able to use these guides to shop and prepare for public access which begins today or heck use them as inspiration. Because quite honestly, that’s what I’m here for, not to sell you anything…there’s plenty of that out there.

On the guide below are my prizes from the Nordy sale and I thought I’d share a few thoughts as to why I bought what. Let’s start with that lighting bolt sweater, if you’ve been following for a while you know that my last one accidentally got washed and dried and then quickly became the perfect size for Jack. Ugh. It was my favorite. Thanks Belinda. I did forgive her and now I have a replacement. Next would be those great little cami’s from 1.STATE.The black one has some sheer detail which can be sexy without being over the top and the cream one does the same with some sweetness. And you’ll need something to throw over those pretty little tops and for me that’s a leather” jacket and I’m loving this rich brown color to replace black every once in a while.

How about those cream croc booties…I die. Can’t wait to take those for a walk.

Then there’s my beloved Adidas from two years ago that have been begging for a replacement, so I immediately added these to my cart. Love the black on black.

While we’re talking shoes let’s not forget a fall staple, everyone needs a good nude bootie in my opinion. I really like the toe and side slits on this pair from Vince Camuto. Perfect for Nashville, seeing as it doesn’t get real cold here. But if it does get chilly at all where you live, then I’d suggest you don’t let this puffy coat pass you by. I mean how great it the sheen on this bad boy. I like having some fun with outerwear. Don’t you? I had to add this camo star jacket on here for those of you that have been obsessed with mine from last year, so now here’s your chance. It’s sooooooooo good! Ok, just a few more things that I thought were great purchases.

Who can forget the moonlight pajamas. My mom got me a pair a few Christmases ago and I’ve been a fan ever since. They also make the perfect gift if you’re looking to knock out a little holiday shopping during the sale. Now, #13 from BB Dakota- I fell in love at first sight. There’s no better look than a killer cardigan/sweater coat for winter. I LOVE THAT LOOK. Just add black skinnies, graphic tee and some killer booties. Done. Next up a new eye shadow palette. Why? Well, it’s as good as a new box of crayons as a kid. Riiiiight?! This faux diamond bangle, I thought it would look pretty next to my bangles, ya know to add a little sparkle. Rounding this post out with the last two items. This cute cropped workout top, like they say if you look the part, you’ll do the work and I can use any encouragement to get up and workout these days. Lastly, this neutral color blocked scarf, it’s super soft and will go with just about anything.

So there you have it. This years Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks from me to you. Hoping this helps if you’re unsure what exactly to pull the trigger on this year. There’s some goodies in there for sure and it’s time to #StyleUp. I’ll go ahead and keep the individual guides up on my website throughout the sale if you need to reference them over the next couple weeks!

Happy Shopping!
