SANDI’S SHORT RIB RAGU

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 6 oz. bone in short ribs
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celer, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato past
  • 1 can (28oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup water or tomato juice
  • Fresh basil, diced

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine all ingredients in crock pot on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  2. 2. Remove the bones.
  3. 3. Serve over wide noodle OR spaghetti squash with crusty french bread...Yep, it's that easy!
