I always strive to make every holiday gathering special and memorable for my family and friends. With Memorial Day weekend just around the corner, it’s the perfect opportunity to indulge in some delightful desserts (and definitely go back for seconds 😉 ). From nostalgic favorites to refreshing summer delights, these desserts are sure to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth.
Peach Poptarts: Nothing brings back childhood memories quite like a warm, flaky pastry filled with sweet peaches. These homemade Peach Poptarts are a delightful twist on the classic toaster pastry. With a buttery crust and a luscious peach filling, these treats will have everyone asking for seconds. You can find the recipe here.
Strawberry Cream Summer Pops (Lily’s Recipe): I always makes these with my nana when we visit in the summer. These popsicles are great for chilling by the pool on a hot summer day, or selling them at a popsicle stand for that busy day on your street. This is my all time favorite kind of popsicle, strawberries and cream. Get the recipe here.
Red + White + Berry Trifle: This light + delicious berry trifle is truly the perfect summer dessert. It’s easy to throw together, travels well and is a crowd pleaser. Having only four simple and relatively healthy ingredients is why I find myself making it again and again. Look no further! Get the recipe here.
Triple Layer Banana Pudding: Since I was little, I can remember my grandfather, which I named, Peepaw when I was about three years old, always requested Banana Pudding. I too, quickly took a liking to it and we shared many banana pudding moments together over the years. He still asks for it, and last time they visited, I took a short cut and discovered the BEST instant mix out there at Whole Foods. You can find the recipe here.
Berry Pretzel Salad: Let me tell you guys, this recipe is famous in our household. I grew up with this dish at every family function and to this day, someone’s always fighting over the last piece! I know it may sound like a crazy combination, but there’s just something about those three layers coming together all in one bite… the buttery pretzel crust, smooth and creamy center and refreshing raspberries to top it all off!You can get Belinda’s Berry Pretzel Salad recipe here.
